The Westin Annapolis...gingerbread style
We went out in the city for one last hoo-rah to wish our friends Brian and Liz well on their move back home to Portland. David and Brian worked together for Kiewit at PJ and out here in DC. (These are the friends who's wedding we attended in Portland recently) We have become really close with them over the years and are sad to see them go but happy to have had the chance to spend so much time with them. They are excited to be back home with family. Sadly, this is the best/only picture I got of the night. On a brighter note, we found a new favorite spot in DC - Lucky bar!

Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at Kathy and Ed's.

Pretty place settings
Just some of the spread
We stayed the night so that we could wake up early the next morning and help Ted bring up the Christmas decorations from downstairs. Of course we were treated to "Egg McNeill's" mmmm delicious!
The next weekend we headed to Michigan. We rented a van and hit the road at 4am. We landed a parking/tailgaiting spot from a Michigan fan on craigslist. We were pretty out numbered but the company was good. We offered up some of Blake and Amanda's famous "apple pie shots" and we had instant friends. It was quite a bit chillier and we didn't get our win but we still had a good time.

Penn State!!

Okay WHOOPS! It's been two months since our last blog update. Two months! Slackers. Anyway, we're starting one of our new years resolutions early...to blog more often and stay on top of it. Here goes...

As you know, David and our friend Blake (who works with Dave) were really feeling the Husker spirit one night in June and planned trips to two Nebraska away games: Penn State and Michigan. And so it began. We found out that Kathleen and James were planning to head to Penn State as well and so we knew we were in for a good time! We rented a sweet house from collegegameday.com with Blake, Amanda, Kathleen, James and 4 of their friends from Omaha and CA. It was an absolute BLAST! We had a house party the first night with pizza, drinks, a dance party and games. We woke up early the next day to tailgate before the game. K&J's friend, Joe had some of his family tailgating and they welcomed all of us Nebraska fans with open arms.

Fruity Pebble treats!
You would think we're back in NE!

Amazing.
Jello shots at the tailgate. Wow!

The weekend was a total success and we walked away with a W.
